the majority of the snow missed us here on the west side wich means the creeks are still in good shape!
there is alot of icey rocks so which ever creek you fish on this weekend be carefull, the banks are slick.

elk: great fishing, low clear water has made it alittle
harder to catch fish but it is still good fishing. minnows are still the most productive, i find that hooking them through both eyes and letting them swim and drift will bring on the most strikes. sucker spawn and small jigs tipped with a maggott are working also.
a single egg or a single meal worm has landed a few also.

crooked: the low water has made it hard here, but happy valley is full of fish, and there hitting hard.
minnow here also is best but a single egg has been working.

raccoon: the fish in here are easy to see so that makes it a liitle harder to catch them but still my choice to fish this week, same baits as mentioned above
but bring your walking boots for this creek you will be walking between holes.

the weather for the weekend looks good cold and windy for saturday, and a warm up on sunday.
think spring!
