This has been a awesome weekend on the creeks. Elk creek has a ton of fish in it right now from the mouth on up as far as route 90. these fish are hitting just about anything you float by. standing at the boat ramp yesterday i watched three guys all fishing with something different and almost every drift they hooked up. A fidget jig tipped with your bait of choice was still the hot item, long leaders with a small bobber. Crooked Creek has alot of fish too, but are more scattered then elk. if you know a favorite hole on crooked nows the time to get there. crooked is a narrow hard to fish creek with alot of distance between holes but is a great creek. Even raccoon has shown signs of fish this week,under the bridge on old lake road there were at least a half dozen fish laying there. |
