Walleye are the big story offshore from Walnut Creek. Hot numbers are '380 &
'881(approx. 7 miles straight out from the Walnut Creek channel) with
chartreuse worm harnesses trolled 150' - 190' back from the boat off a large
dipsy being the best presentation. Many fish are being weighed in over 9#

Steelhead are being caught with large spoons trolled off a downrigger. Best
colors vary from day to day. The occassional Chinook Salmon is alsobeing
taken.

Rains seem to have been drawing trout into the tributaries for a brief
period. Heavy rains forecast this weekend should enhance angler's chances.
Discolored water will require scented baits or else live bait. Power bait &
nightcrawlers should do best. Catfish will be available along the shoreline
& trib mouths also.
