Eight year old Owen Callaghan of Erie came in with his 6 pound 4 ounce Walleye for Junior Award. It was 26 ½ inches long and had a girth of 14 ¼ inches. He was out in 53 ft of water off Elk Creek and caught it on Iridescent Reef Runner. I was told the Walleye are in. All along the shoreline they are giving off good marks. Also out in the deep waters too. PERCH: Haven’t seen any to take pictures but I am told that they are getting them also in the shallows. People mostly fishing in 27-37 ft of water anywhere between here and Elk Creek. Also east of Walnut Creek in the 50 ft waters. WEATHER: The weather for the next week doesn’t look very good. The waves aren’t too bad though seeing they are calling for 2 ft or less all through Monday anyway. But the chances for showers are anywhere between 40% and 60% all the way through Wednesday of next week. Thunderstorms for Sunday thru Wednesday. |
