Thirteen year old Logan Schuller of New Castle, PA came in with an 8 pound ½ ounce Walleye for Junior Angler Award. It was 29 ½ inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches. He caught it out in 70 ft of water off Godfrey Run on a Renosky Plug. The color was Rainbow Trout.
|Fifteen year old Cameron Kirkwood of Leeper, PA brought in for Junior Angler Award a 7 pound 13 ounce Walleye. It was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 ¾ inches. He caught it out in 74 ft of water between Walnut and Trout Run. He was using worm harness (Blueberry Muffin).|
|Twelve year old Ellen Valerio of Girard, PA brought in a 7 pound 12 ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 27 ¾ inches long with a girth of 17 inches. She caught it out in 74 ft of water East of Walnut Creek off the Condo’s on a worm harness. Color was Rainbow.|
|SMALL MOUTH BASS:|
Twelve year old Tim Kelly of Boston MA, brought in a 4 pound 10 ½ ounce Small Mouth Bass for Junior Angler Award . It was 20 inches long and had a girth of 15 ¼ inches. They were out in 55 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek. He reeled it in on a “Shakespeare” Toy Story Kid Pole (Buzz Lightyear). His bait was Golden Shiners.
Eight year old Braeden Sobleski of Edinboro, PA brought in a 1 pound ½ ounce Perch for Junior Award. It was 13 inches long and had a girth of 9 inches. He caught it out in 58 ft of water between Trout and Walnut Creek. He was using Golden Shiners.
As of this writing the water temperature is 78 degrees. The Walleye are hard to find but the ones getting caught are out in 74-77 ft of water east of Walnut Creek out by the point and on the North side of the First Trench.
The Perch are turning on right now. I had lots of limits come in today. They are out in 53-58 ft straight out of Walnut Creek.
