WALLEYE

Fifteen year old Raquel Gold and her sister ErikaRose of Jeannette, PA brought in theirs for Angler Award. Raquel’s was 7 pounds 3 ½ ounces, 26 inches long with a girth of 16 inches. ErikaRose caught a 6 pound 8 ½ ounce Walleye. It was 25 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches. Both were caught straight out of Walnut Creek in 90 ft of water on “Lights out” Rapala. Color was Purple/Black.

Jim Leftwich of Duquesne, PA brought in his 8 pound 9 ½ ounce Walleye for Angler Award. It was 30 inches long and had a girth of 16 ¼ inches. He caught it out in 75 ft of water straight out of Walnut Creek on Thunder Sticks. Color was Purple.

George Little of McKeesport, PA got an award for his 8 pound 10 ½ ounce fish. It was 28 ¼ inches long and had a girth of 16 3/4 inches. He also caught his in 75 ft straight out of Walnut Creek on a Thunder Stick. Color was also Purple.

Nine year old Jaiden Miller of Buffalo N.Y. brought in a 7 pound 10 ½ ounce fish that was 29 inches long and had a girth of 16 ½ inches. She caught it out in the second Trench West of Walnut Creek in 76 – 78 ft of water. She was using Reef Runner and like the others the color was Purple.

Twelve year old Sami Fulmer of Franklin PA got a 8 pound 8 ½ ounce Walleye. It was 29 ¾ inches long and had a girth of 16 ¾ inches. She caught it out in 75 ft of water straight out of Camp Eriez.

Walleye seem to be doing good right now. Perch is doing good too but no one bringing any in for weighing.
