Both Walnut & Elk Creeks are essentially open water with plenty of Steelhead
available. Anglers should use caution as some ice jams are still at the
upper ends of these tribs.... with any sudden rises in water level, get out
of the stream bed. Ice breaking loose upstream can travel at high speed and
great force.
