Things are starting to pick up at Walnut Creek. The fishing is great for Perch and the Walleye are starting to be picked up real good too.

Perch: are out in 53 ft of water. They seem to be out east of each creek. Emerald shiners are the preferred bait. Any kind of minnows will work though.

The coolers are coming in with limits in them. Lee Hanson and his friend got their limit along with just about everyone else who went out fishing for them.

Walleye: are being caught in close still. About 30 feet of water anywhere from East of Walnut to Elk Creek.

George Smith fishing on the "Brandy Nicole" with two others came in with nine nice walleye.

This nice citation size fish was brought in by Dick Garrard.

This holiday weekend turned out pretty good weather wise. It was calling for 2-4 ft waves but with only one foot waves.

The parking lot is full and the boats are still coming in. This picture was taken at 8:30 in the morning. The trailers are parking on the grass and anywhere they can find to park. From the radio conversations they are catching a lot of fish too.

It is supposed to be 1-3 ft waves up until Monday.

Happy fishing and Happy Fourth of July.
