hello - here is what you need to know about the river. It is dangerous to even pull your waders on right now. We have lost one fisherman already over the weekend. Reports have him hanging onto a piece of ice flow near Meigs, not to be seen again. People: the river is too cold right now. The rising temperatures this week may bring good fishing if there is no rain. But: the extreemly cold winter does prep the walleye's internal systems and makes for very active spawning, healthy eggs & sperm. I would suggest trying things mid week. thank you.
