Regulations to Remember:


The daily bag limit for walleye on Ohio waters of Lake Erie is four fish per angler from March 1 through April 30. The minimum size limit for walleye is 15 inches.
The daily bag limit for yellow perch is 30 fish per angler on all Ohio waters of Lake Erie.
The trout and salmon daily bag limit is 2 fish with a minimum size limit of 12 inches.
The black bass (largemouth and smallmouth bass) daily bag limit is five fish per angler with a 14-inch minimum size limit.

Walleye
Where: Ice anglers have been catching walleye west and northwest of Catawba Island, south and west of Green Island, and 4 to 8 miles north of Magee Marsh. Be cautious when ice fishing offshore areas of Lake Erie, as ice conditions can change quickly due to water currents and wind. Travel with caution and regularly check ice conditions before proceeding.
How: Most Lake Erie ice anglers targeting walleye are using jigging spoons tipped with emerald shiners.

Panfish
Where: Panfish have been caught in East Harbor.
How: Most panfish have been caught on ice jigs tipped with wax worms or soft plastics.

Anglers are encouraged to always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device while boating.
