Western Basin

Walleye: There have been very few reports over the past week. The best reports have come from N of “C” can of the Camp Perry firing range. Trollers have been using divers with spoons, or crankbaits off of planer boards.

Yellow perch fishing has been good, with the best spots being N of the Toledo water intake, 2-4 miles off of Little Cedar Point, N and W of Niagara Reef, E of Middle Bass Island near the Canadian border, between South Bass Island and Kelleys Island, E of Kelleys Island, and E of Kelleys Island shoal. Perch spreaders with shiners fished near the bottom produce the most fish.
