Well the boats are put up for the winter and the next move for us is to look forward for some quick cold weather for good ice on the lake this winter. I will began reports again when the lake has good safe ice to fish. I will began booking ice charters at the end of this year. I want to wish everyone and their families a happy holiday/.
For those who can still get out and fish here are a few great spots for some big perch. Last week we were doing 2 per pound which is a great average on the western side of the lake. Just remember to look for clear fishable water between 32 -50 foot. The best areas were Gull and Kelley’s reef area, and Cedar Point. Other areas had poor water visibility. For the walleye north of Kelley’s Island and the rocks around Gull, and north of Cedar Point were the best areas for nice 4-5 pound fish.
Smallmouth were on the hunt around the islands, in 15 - 20 foot of water. We had several hook ups last week only with 3 that we took home that went 16 pounds total. It’s great to know those nice bass are still there for next year.
Again, have a great holiday and feel free in contacting us on our web site, www.lakeeriefishing911.com for winter updates.
Good fishin,
Capt Bob Hughey
