[ Lake Erie & Tributaries Fishing Report ]

With the two days of northeaster’s last week and the high abundance of bait fish in the lake the walleye fishing has slowed down throughout the week and weekend. Some nice catches were made by the trollers east of Kelley’s Island and west of the sandbar. The drifters are having a tough time in the deep water, but some eyes are being caught in the rocks around the islands.
Some bass started to show up around the islands and in the Canadian waters. As the water cools the action should pick up for the bass as they put on the fall feed. The action is anywhere from 5-25 feet.
Perch have been the ticket since the blows last week. Limits are coming in and the size has been above average. Our boats have been doing well on the perch east of Middle Bass Island, west of Green Island, and around Kelley’s Island in 30-40 foot of water. There is still a good supply of minnows at the local bait shops, as well as equipment.
We still have some great days open, including weekends for some great fall fishing. Feel free in contacting us at 1-877-434-9711.
Good fishin
Capt Bob Hughey
