Walleye activity is still doing well for the drifters and the trollers west of the island area. As long as there is wind the drifters are catching some limits, but some sorting is needed. Reports of walleyes in the 6-8 inch range are being taken around the western end of the lake. If you catch one please release quickly, that’s our further stock. The trollers are still doing very well west of the islands towards the line. Sheep head activity is still very strong, in fact we have been catching 8 to 1 for every walleye that we take.
The best areas are the eastern range buoys, you’ll see the Port Clinton head boats in that area. The triangle north of West Sister and west of the islands. Some rock piles are still holding some nice eyes.
Perch activity is still doing well around the Kelley’s Island area and Marblehead area. Minnows are still in good supply at the local bait shops.
We still have some great dates for perch and walleye for the remainder of the summer and early fall. We are looking for a great fall walleye season since the larger schools east of Kelley’s did not go to far east this summer. Feel free in contact us at www.lakeeriefishing911.com
Good fishin
