With the current weekend cold front from Canada, we have all the rivers, Sandusky Bay, and a fair share of the western section of Lake Erie covered in ice. This is a start to forming good ice with the help of below freezing temps for the next 8-9 days. I am looking forward to fishing this upcoming weekend around the docks for perch and panfish. Then we'll be ready for the next weekend for ice season walleye on the big lake.

Last year we had only three weeks of ice fishing but it was a very good walleye season with limits and walleye up to 29" being taken thru the holes. Feel free to contact my on some dates, since I held off booking dates until we got good ice.

Lastly, Richards Bait and Tackle should be open this weekend for your ice fishing supplies and fishing reports. Remember we are booking to this boat season.

I am really looking forward to some great walleye fishing this year, starting with next week.

Good fishin
