Elk Creek is Pennsylvannia's largest stream flowing into Lake Erie. The trout fishing is excellent from early fall to late spring. Late spring anglers enjoy the spectacular smallmouth fishing near the lake. Early July anglers find catfish at night quite a thrill. Fall returns with the chinook and coho salmon run. The tackle busting trout, "steelhead" follow to entertain the winter anglers.

The boaters access to Lake Erie is limited to very small boats in the range of 17 foot and smaller.
