Walleye

Weather has limited fishing opportunities on the main lake recently. The water temperature has dropped into the lower 40’s which should bring some larger walleye nearshore. Popular fall walleye spots include nearshore areas from Vermilion to Cedar Point, Marblehead and Catawba, and also around the shorelines of the Bass Islands and Kelleys Island. Trolling shallow diving stickbaits nearshore can produce fish up to and over 10 pounds. Pier fishing has remained slow at all of the popular night fishing locations, including the Huron pier, Lakeside pier, Mazurik breakwall and Catawba State Park pier.
