Take advantage of a great deal and buy the golfer in your life an Eagle Golf Card. It is sure to fit them to a “tee.” The $80 card is valid at any of the six Ohio State Park golf courses and buys 12 rounds of 18-hole golf within a year of purchase. State parks with golf courses include: Deer Creek in Fayette and Pickaway counties; Hueston Woods in Preble County; Maumee Bay in Lucas County; Punderson in Geauga County, Salt Fork in Guernsey County and Shawnee in Scioto County. Some restrictions apply.

For campers, consider signing them up for the Cardinal Camper Club. The $25 annual membership is good for 15 percent discounts off camping at Ohio State Parks, April through October; and 20 percent off November through March. Cards can be purchased online or at any Ohio State Park.

For boating and fishing enthusiasts, there are plenty of options. Consider purchasing up-to-date nautical charts, which is the first step toward any safe boating trip on Lake Erie. The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration produces these charts, which can be obtained through their website at www.chartmaker.ncd.noaa.gov

Other gift items to consider for your boater or fisherman include: life jackets, safety bumpers, ropes, portable weather radios, flares, portable digital satellite radio, battery monitors, and other electronic gadgets such as fish finders and global positioning system units.
